Best Hosting Match ("we", "the site") is an independent web hosting comparison site operated by Carl Boon as an individual. There is no registered company entity. The site is published from the United Kingdom and hosted on Netlify's global infrastructure.
Directly: none. We have no contact forms, no sign-up, no newsletter, no comments, and no accounts. We never ask you for your name, email, or any personal information.
Automatically: like virtually every website, our host (Netlify) processes standard server request logs — including IP addresses and browser user-agent strings — to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not have access to a database of these logs, do not use them to identify you, and do not combine them with anything else.
We set no tracking cookies, which is why you won't see a cookie-consent banner — there's nothing non-essential to consent to. The site stores a single, purely functional value in your browser's local storage called hosting-theme, which remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It never leaves your device, contains no personal data, and you can clear it anytime via your browser settings.

That's the complete list. We run no analytics (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, nothing), no advertising pixels, and no social-media trackers. If we ever add privacy-respecting analytics, this page will be updated first.
When you click a "Visit site" button, you leave Best Hosting Match and go directly to the hosting provider's own website. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices — read their policies once you're there. Outbound links currently point to official provider homepages; we earn nothing from them (see disclosure below).
