Our editorial ethics

Six rules we operate by. They're here so you can hold us to them.

The six rules

  1. Scores are never for sale. No provider can pay to raise a score or ranking. Scores follow the methodology, full stop.
  2. Renewal prices are always shown. We display the renewal rate and the True 3-Year Cost alongside every headline price. No hiding the real cost.
  3. Affiliate links are always disclosed. When affiliate partnerships go live, every sponsored link is marked, and the relationship is disclosed here and on the about page.
  4. No fake urgency. No countdown timers, no "only 3 spots left", no manufactured scarcity. Ever.
  5. We don't claim to lab-test. Scores are editorial, based on published specs and SLAs. We never pretend to have personally benchmarked servers we didn't.
  6. We collect no personal data. No email capture, no newsletter traps, no forms that harvest your information.

Affiliate disclosure

Current status: no affiliate links active. Every outbound link goes directly to the provider's official homepage. The site earns nothing right now.

When affiliate programs are approved, this section will list each partner and its disclosure. Affiliate status will never influence scoring โ€” the architecture separates the two completely. A provider we earn commission from gets exactly the same scoring treatment as one we don't.

Corrections

If a score or fact is wrong or out of date, it gets fixed and the change dated. Our underlying data is openly published as a JSON endpoint so anyone can audit it.
